Things Are Heating Up Again
Things are heating up at Mt. St. Helens again, but Bird will be staying at The RBR World Headquarters to catch up on his local work and to rest from what has been a lengthy disaster season for him. According to this report temperatures in the lava dome in the crater are up to 570 degrees, which could incinerate a Thanksgiving turkey quicker than some people I know. The local folk will be using a drone aircraft to fly over the crater and take further measurements.
Bird is not the least concerned that automation has taken him out of this job.
