The Party's Over

Shown here are some of the decorations at The Rare Bird Review World Headquarters for last night's dual purpose celebration. The Headquarters was celebrating Bird's return from England and the glowing reviews for his performance in Macbird and, most importantly, the end of the political advertising season.

Bird is sad to report that the one issue on which he voted was narrowly defeated by the voters so urban sprawl will continue in the area - at least until the next election. Bird is considering offers to lead the campaign on this issue on the ballot next November.

Final vote totals yesterday from the states where Bird was submitted as a write-in candidate: Ohio 27 votes, Indiana 13 votes, New Hampshire 21 votes, Kentucky 9 votes, Alabama 11 votes, Hawaii 2 votes, Florida 132 votes and Washington 93 votes. Provisional ballots are not yet counted.

Here is another photo from the celebration and some of the revelers who attended the party. It should be obvious that more than a 'wee dram' or two might have been consumed during the course of the party. Perhaps it was the pink wine that was served? Past experience should have taught us that the staff gets a little loose when they "drink pink."

Menu items included a raw bar, little cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off, bacon and raisin pate', and huge jars full of mayonnaise and Tootsie Rolls. The last recipe was received at the World Headquarters from an inmate at a federal prison in West Virginia. Thank you, Martha.
