Scenes from the Play
The production is currently underway in Reading, England. Posted here is a scene from early in the play. King Duncan's body has just been discovered by the soldiers, his sons have fled and the troops are seen here rallying around Macbird. Banquo is in front pledging his sword and his life to Macbird (foolish Banquo).
The dog in the foreground is Spot, who would later be ordered out by Lady Macbird when she starts having her sleepwalking and compulsive hand washing nightmares. It's quite a dramatic scene. The part of Spot is played by Dog, an aspiring, but very promising, young actor from Pekin, Illinois. Spot is gradually developing a large following for his early work, especially in Australia.
