Coastal Watch 

With Hurricane Ivan fast approaching the Florida Keys, Bird elevates himself on an Adirondack chair on James Beach on Key West to watch the coast for Cubans fleeing from their island on the leading edge of the storm.

Bird remains on an evacuation schedule and will catch an early storm front out of harm's way. He'll be heading east to ride out the storm before plunging into damaged areas to offer his assistance in the recovery.
