Tributes to Bird
A number of folks on the Florida Treasure Coast took time to express their appreciation for Bird. In the top photo Dorothy Wayman, an employee of Crawdaddy's Tavern in Port St. Lucie, holds up a poster honoring her new hero. Bird is searching the tidal areas near Dorothy's home for her dentures which were sucked out of her mouth when she yawned during the hurricane.
In the bottom photo the folks at the Vero Garden Center included Bird in their motivational mural of Hurricane Frances.
Bird will contniue his mission of mercy and inspirational tour today, with the camera tucked securely under his wing to capture the sights as only Bird sees them.
