Home Again

The crowds were large and excited this morning at the World Headquaters as Bird returned from his European stay. During the trip Bird helped with G8 summit in Edinburgh, visited a few art museum to view more items for the summer world art tour, and finally, spent a little time relaxing and assisting at the Festival of San Fermin in Pamplona, Spain. Ticker-tape rained down from the balconies to the lobby floor as Bird entered the building. Everyone except the janitorial crew was quite happy. Of course Bird usually throws a large party when he returns so the staff is clearing their schedule for the expected event.

Bird also stopped off in Toronto on the way home and spent the better part of last night there in meetings with the National Hockey League and its Players' Association. They reached an agreement while Bird was there, and the official announcement should come later today that the year long labor dispute was settled with some hard work and some pink feathers.

Bird enjoys hockey and is happy to see it return.
