Flamingos are Smarter than Bulls

It's obvious from this picture that flamingos are much smarter than bulls, especially in Spain.

Here's a scene from yesterday in Pamplona at the Festival of San Fermin. The matador is attempting to lure the flamingo into the cape by taunting him and by promising him that there are some tasty brine shrimp hiding in the dark recesses and folds of the cape.

The flamingo is obviously not buying what the matador is selling because he is turning away. He knows that 'where's there's no brine or brackish water there aren't any brine shrimp or other tasty little crustaceons.'

It was still good sport for the bird and the crowd, though it did leave the matador a little frustrated. Now if the matador had put those pink leggings under the cape the flamingo might have been tempted to at least take a look. Come to think of it flamingos are smarter than matadors too.

And speaking of things that seem a little strange we offer this photo from one of the many parades associated with the Festival of San Fermin. The RBR is not sure what was going on here, not sure if this was supposed to be polo, soccer, or just an "outside WalMart" wannbe.

Bird was occupied elsewhere and was unable to check out this part of the parade. It's his recommendation that the staff covering this particular festival be increased next year in order to give proper time and respect to each of the activities. This is one we're certainly sorry we missed.
