Flamingos Dump Suns
PJ Sykimte took the cudgels for Pink Flamingos as they dumped Le Soleil de Boracay Suns, 18-15, in the 1st Smart-Thirsty 7-on-7 Flag Football Tournament at the Cebu International School field.
Sykimte, last season's MVP, scored two touchdowns while teammate Aldrin Sanchez chipped in one to lift Flamingos past the Suns. The win catapulted Pink Flamingos to the driver's seat in the team standings and points differential while the Suns shared the third post with Transrover Sharks, a 24-6 winner over Warerfront Titans.
Vudu Vikings, on the other hand, whacked Pyroworks Rebels, 18-6, to move to second place. Also, Brix Crusaders blanked Citihomes Rushers 30-0, Ramal Doors Lycans defeated the Luigi's District Sixers, 29-12 and the Talamban Chargers gave the Village Waters Wolves a heartbreaking 21-12 upset in their game.
