Back to Work 

Bird is back to hurricane work as Ivan reaches the Gulf Coast. Here Bird drops by Felix's Bar in the New Orleans French Quarter to warn the local people that it might be to their advantage to evacuate the town or at least move up to the second floor.

Bird will be heading east as soon as the storm passes to check on Mobile, the Apalachicola oyster beds, and other points in the Florida panhandle. He's keeping a dark, bird eye on the antics from tropical storm Jeanne, which might threaten Florida, Georgia or South Carolina this weekend. Bird insists he'll be home by the time the Canadians and New Englanders start their annual migration south.
