March of the Flamingos
Well,well, well.......
Word is stating to leak out that there is a movie afoot about flamingos.
Imogen Heap (that's her real name) reports that she's been contacted about music for the movie.
Ms. Heap, the former lead singer of Frou Frou, has contributed music to the Chronicles of Narnia - or as the website Chartattack says...
Heap notes that her film and TV contributions aren't just the product of a keen marketing sense; they're also the result of a personal interest in these media. In fact, the singer has even signed on to score an entire film. About what, you ask? Flamingos, of course.
"It's a documentary, kind of like March Of The Penguins," she says. "Ordinarily, you have the picture and everything and then you get the score person to come in and pretty much write the music when everything's done.
"But this time I'm going to come up with various ideas — not necessarily songs, but just experimental soundscapes — before the filming. Hopefully, my music will really affect the direction of the film."
Heap will tour North America this spring. With any luck, she might even play some new flamingo-inspired tunes.
A little more can be found here.

from The OC to Six Feet Under, Shrek 2 to The Chronicles Of Narnia, British singer-songwriter Imogen Heap's ethereal electro-pop has shown up in more films and television programs than Charmin toilet paper and Diet Pepsi Twist combined. After the former Frou Frou frontwoman contributed the sublime vocoder chant "Hide And Seek" to last year's season finale of The OC.
