Still Missing
The Minot Daily News: The week in review - - Minot Daily News: "*
The Chase Lake pelicans are still missing. Wildlife services have been receiving phone calls from area residents, reporting sightings of pelicans in the area. But it's hard to know if the pelicans that are being sighted are from Chase Lake or not. In any case, the pelicans that abandoned their nests and eggs at Chase Lake have drawn interest from around the country. Wildlife experts have no answers yet. Hopefully, the questions will be answered and we'll know why the pelicans left their annual breeding grounds. In the meantime, keep an eye open for pelicans when you're out and about in this part of the state."
