Annie! 

L'il P-Bird is still hard at work on his novel and is unavailable. He reports that he is happy with the progress but will take some time off to record a new "pink rap" that we hope to feature on the site in the near future.

Today the Rare Bird Review World Art Tour offers Annie by artist Ed Ruscha, done in 1965.

Ruscha is an American artist born in 1937. Ruscha isolated a single word from the comic strip of the same name and in the process created something that was both abstract and an object of popular culture.

The original hangs in the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach, California.
