Hooray!
The technical staff here at the Rare Bird Review really laid an egg on the latest software glitch to hit the site, but they've hatched a new idea that seems to be working. Their August vacations have been cancelled as a backlog of items produced by the editorial staff are clogging the pipelines like a flamingo neck totally full of crop milk.
Bird finally returned from Germany where he was watching the World Cup. Just as he returned a summer heat wave hit both Europe and North America. The Parisians have found a remarkable way to keep their ostriches cool, as evidenced by the photo to the left. Bird highly recommends this method for cooling off.
Our Director of Emergency Services, Helen Highwater, has her crew working on similar facilities in our local area.
Here at the World Headquarters the staff has been both arriving and leaving early in order to better deal with local temperatures. Our very small Political Action department has been busy expanding as it fights the building of a Super Wal-Mart Center which wants to build on a site next to the headquarters building.
More tomorrow if the computer gods are smiling
