A Special Tribute
Bird would like to thank the BBC (Bird Broadcasting Company?) for the following item....A flock of newly born Flamingos has been named after the England team after one ‘did a Beckham’ and couldn’t keep his dinner down.
The eleven chicks have now been christened with the names of starting eleven for England’s match against Ecuador. The first, Beckham, was named after both player and chick were sick during Sunday’s match in Germany.
Zookeepers say the eleven are being hand-reared on a high-protein liquid diet. The flamingos will only start to develop pink plumage after two years and will not resemble adults until they are four years old."
