Tartan Day Schedule

Finals plans are being made at the RBR World Headquarters for the annual Tartan Day Celebration. Shown at the left is the planning committee hard at work sampling the menu items that will be available during the day in the headquarters commissary.

The day will start with Scottish muffins and Scotch eggs available for the early arriving crowd. The regular coffee will be replaced with Highland Grog, a butterscotch infused coffee available for this special occasion.

After a morning of work the bagpipers will summon everyone to the public area for a lunch of cock-a-leekie soup and highland beef sandwiches.

The parade of tartans will start promptly at 1:12 P.M. In a random draw the honor of leading the parade this year is assigned to the local group representing the MacLeods. The are shown at the right in a photo organizing for last year's event.

A record 103 groups have registered for the parade and will represent 65 clans and septs, 6 Scottish areas and and 32 distilleries. As usual the MacPhersons (meaning 'son of the parson') will be the last group and will forgive and absolve everyone as they pass by.

Friends and employees are encouraged to claim their spots curbside early. Scotch broth will be available after the parade to send the revelers home in a warmed mood.
