Swan Lake Improved
The minute Bird decides to "hole-up" for the day the e-mail machine began beeping with some incoming fan mail.The photo came from the Shartle School of Dance in Edmonton, Alberta and is from their recent recital. Ms. Rose Shartle writes....
"The school thought Bird might appreciate a photo of our costumes from our recent recital here in Edmonton. We're always looking to put some humor in our programs and we decided to improve on Swan Lake by retitling it Flamingo Flats and adding a little color to the costumes. It was the absolute hit of our recital, both with the dancers and with the audience, and will now go into our permanent repetoire.
We're big Bird fans up here in Edmonton!"
Bird is obviously thrilled, but was that rumbling from St. Petersburg Tchaikovsky turning over in his grave? And who said there was nothing but hockey in Edmonton?
