A Bird in the House

Here is a photo of Bird taken during his tour of Holyrood, the new Scottish Parliament Building last week.

Here Bird is standing in one of the window seats that are in each MP's (Member of Parliament) suite of offices. Theses seats jut out from the building and provide great views of the area surrounding the building itself. In the coming days The RBR will post some additional photos of Bird's excursion to Scotland, including some exterior views of the building.

The controversial building was nearly eight years in the planning and construction. The Catalan architect Enric Mialle designed Holyrood over the objections of Prince Charles, whose personal architect was rejected as being too traditional. Chuck wasn't happy and declined an invitation to attend the exclusive, grand opening.
