Well, well, well...
So why is Jesus weeping? It seems there's a minor crisis brewing at the home of the Giant Plastic Jesus in Monroe, OH. No, this has nothing to do with the sale at the adjacent Hustler Superstore in beautiful downtown Monroe, though that always causes some local, teeth gnashing.Lots of whispering (and do we detect a snicker or two?) after reports surfaced in a local newspaper about some salaries being paid by the local religious outlet. It seems the pastor's wife is pulling down a wee bit of of salary for her charitable work at the church. A 'wee bit' in this case means $350K a year. Not hard to be charitable at that salary. And just to prove they are a family the pastor's two kids (ages 15 and 17) are pulling down $75K a year for being good kids. That certainly beats working at McDonald's after school and on weekends.
